As a new scuba instructor, no doubt you will feel a tremendous pride the first many times you teach the open water course and teach new divers how to safely enjoy our secret underwater world. But with time no doubt, you will want to further your diving career and keep things fresh by teaching continuing education courses. The PADI instructor specialty training with Bongo Bongo allows you to do just that. You can learn how to teach and conduct classes on a range of different specialties. Presently there’s more than 25 standard courses, with more exciting opportunities coming every year.
The specialty courses gives you teaching tips and subject matter expertise, that you can use right away when teaching your new courses. Below you can find some of the most popular specialties, as they are highly sought after in the diving industry. You’ll make yourself more employable by adding a few of these to your tool belt.
As a PADI Enriched Air Instructor you will teach students the ins and outs of diving using enriched air nitrox. This could be considered one of the most desirable PADI specialty courses as diving on nitrox offers divers greater flexibility with longer bottom times, shorter surface intervals, and fantastic opportunities to expand their underwater horizons. With your students, you will use specialized equipment to analyse gas content, review important procedures critical for safe enriched air diving, and go over techniques to calculate the perfect gas blends to suit their intended dive profiles.
PADI Enriched Air Diver is a dry course and does not require any open water dives to complete.
Through the duration of your training you will:
- Present and be evaluated on a prescriptive presentation from the the Nitrox Enriched Air Specialty knowledge review
- Become familiar with the PADI Nitrox Enriched Air Specialty standards, procedures and curriculum
- Learn the best ways to organize, conduct and market the PADI Nitrox Enriched Air Specialty course
- Engage in practical skill training sessions – where you will learn how to demonstrate, execute, and evaluate practical skills included in the PADI Nitrox Enriched Air Specialty course.
As a Tec Gas Blender instructor you will enlighten your students on the benefits of diving with various gas blends, explain how to properly prepare equipment for use with pure oxygen, and more! You will review different gas blending techniques, and eventually lead
students through the preparation of their own blended gas. Remember – Not only does a a dive shop require adequate blending equipment, it will also need qualified gas BLENDERS! You can help meet this demand for gas blenders by offering students this critical training.
Tec Gas Blender is a dry course and does not require any open water dives to complete.
Throught the duration of your training you will:

- Become familiar with the Tec Gas Blender Specialty standards, procedures and curriculum
- Learn the best ways to organise, conduct and market the Tec Gas Blender Specialty course

As a PADI Night Dive instructor you will have the chance to show your students the underwater world as they’ve never seen it before! You will be trained to deliver the best techniques to ensure a safe and fun experience while diving at night. Your training dives will
take place at one of our favorite sites, Malatapay! With a fantastic split between a reef dive and a muck dive you will have the opportunity to see some of the ocean’s most impressive night life, including octopus, cuttlefish, slumbering turtles and more.
Training will take place in the classroom and open water dives.
Through the duration of your training you will:

- Become familiar with the PADI Night Diver Specialty standards, procedures and curriculum
- Learn the best ways to organise, conduct and market the PADI Night diver course
- Engage in in-water skill training sessions – where you will learn how to demonstrate, execute, and evaluate practical skills included in the PADI Night diver Specialty course.
There are very few divers that can resist the call of “the deep”, and as a PADI deep diver instructor you will train your students to dive confidently to a maximum depth of 40 meters (130 ft). Using specialized deep diving equipment and proper deep dive planning, your divers will learn to adequately manage their gas supply at depth and understand how to handle gas narcosis and other safety considerations that may come up while diving deep. Your training dives will take place at Dauin and El Dorado, two of our fantastic deep sites with loads to see, including sunken cars, small shipwrecks and loads of marine life!
Training will take place on a series of local dives and in the classroom and, where you will benefit from the wealth of knowledge that your instructors being qualified technical divers, can provide you with.
Through the duration of your training you will:

- Become familiar with the PADI Deep Diver standards, procedures and curriculum
- Learn the best ways to organise, conduct and market the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course
- Engage in practical skill training sessions – where you will learn how to demonstrate, execute, and evaluate practical skills included in the PADI Deep Diver Specialty course.
As a PADI Self Reliant instructor you will teach more experienced divers (100+ dives) the skills needed to dive solo should the situation call for it, and additional skills to make them stronger divers in general. Skills covered will fall under self rescue techniques, equipment redundancy, solo dive planning, and problem management. Some special gear
used during the course may include a redundant gas source (stage tank or pony bottle), a backup mask, or backup SMB. As well as water skills, part of the course will take place in the classroom where you will teach students techniques for planning and managing their gas supply underwater.
Training will take place in the classroom and over __ open water dives.

With a wide variety of recreational and technical diving gear at your disposal, you will offer students critical information to ensure they make the best, most informed decisions possible when selecting their own diving gear. Additionally, students will learn what it takes to
become a fully equipped diver, tailored to their own personal goals and preferred style of diving.
You will take students through basic equipment repair, adjustment, and maintenance techniques as well as explaining how the gear actually works! The idea here is to make your divers more comfortable with and better prepared to take care of their investment.
